Steve Adams

Steve has competed in several National Sailing Championships  (winning four) as well as representing Great Britain in 14 World and European Championships, achieving top three results in four of them.

Steve now competes in endurance athletics including over 30 marathons and triathlons, up to and including Iron Man, and almost all used for raising money for charity. In particular, Steve raises money for Teach Africa – a charity he established in 2005 to provide funding for secondary education for the brightest children from Nairobi’s slums.

In 2008 Steve set up Go Beyond Ultra to target athletes looking for more variation and greater challenges whilst maintaining the competitive element. Go Beyond provides a series of Ultra races that rival their road counter parts and, in the process, raises money for charity.

"I really love the Vapour-X tops, they are incredibly light, breathable and produce no chaffing at all, irrespective of the conditions I have been running in or the terrain I run across.

I have used the top in the London Marathon and designing my Ultra courses which involves running upwards of 30 miles at a time - I don’t like to think of any Go Beyond competitor running a course I haven’t tried more than once. I also ran alongside Lee Chamberlain in his successful treadmill world record."
